Trio Has Been Around A While and With Good Reason!

Reviewed by Kimbecknellwilliams from Matthews, NC on  November 1, 2016

The food, service and decor are all very good. This restaurant has been around for years and with good reason - Charlotteans have discovered it. My favorites are the Mulligatawny soup and the side salad with their "Killer" dressing. The soup has just enough spice to it and is very hearty. The salad is always fresh and their signature dressing is fabulous. They have an enclosed patio and a regular patio for outside seating. You can't get a bad seat inside or outside. Highly recommend this if you're in the Pineville side of Charlotte.

Brought Back Good Memories

Reviewed by WorthSC from NC on December 13, 2016

We visited Trio many years ago when it first opened, and in fact took our college-student daughter there for one of her birthdays, along with the rest of our small family. It was one of the first nice restaurants built on Hwy 51, which was once just a long stretch of farmland. When our college freshman granddaughter was home for fall break, we decided a mall trip was in order and I decided I would take her to Trio since we had been there so many times with her mom and enjoyed it so much. Needless to say, she loved it as well, and it sure brought back some great memories for me. I ordered the Trio salad, and she ordered a tortellini dish. They were both great, and we could not resist the house-made desserts. We ordered crème brulee and the sweet potato bread pudding, and both were luscious. Needless to say, we had to get take-out boxes. It was a perfect day for us, and she loved Trio as much as her mom and the rest of our family did. We have decided we will re-visit in a few weeks for her mom's December birthday to create more memories.

Now That’s How to Handle a Problem

Reviewed by BillGabrielson from Beaufort, South Carolina in late December, 2016

We had a party of 14 so it was a bit of a challenge. One granddaughter ordered a flat bread pizza which didn't arrive until all of us had finished our varied and excellent entrees.

Waiter and manager were quite apologetic. The fault was in the communication between computer and printer. The manager comped the pizza and provided two excellent desserts for the kids to share. That's how to handle a problem.

We had a table of 11. Great food, great variety. To please 11 people is hard. They did a great job!

Great Experience on Our Wedding Anniversary

Reviewed by OpenTable Diner Since 2015 (Charlotte) who dined on December 20, 2016

Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a night out Christmas week for our wedding anniversary. Our waitress was excellent and timely despite how busy the restaurant was. Whether steak (me) or seafood (wife), the quality of the dishes was excellent. Our appetizers were delivered on time and piping hot. Our entrees were wonderful. Desserts are homemade and we shared ours. Lastly, you simply can't beat the price! We highly recommend Trio's and we'll be back!

Worth Going Back to . . .

Reviewed by EdD from Fort Mill, SC on November 5, 2016

Very good-one note they said they only carry local beer on tap which is not a bad thing

Had Sirloin beef sandwich with fresh fruit. It was excellent! Fruit was very fresh and tasty.

I could have used a glass of water but wasn't asked. Yes, I could have asked for one but I think server should have asked me. Been here several times and never been disappointed !!'

Worth going back to.

All 26 Guests were Treated like Royalty

Reviewed by Olivia M. from Greenville, SC on December 5, 2016

I was here recently for a bridesmaid luncheon. We had an AMAZING time. Our service was outstanding. Not only did they take such good care of us, they went out of their way to make sure all 26 guest were treated like royalty. Now, I can only speak for myself but the food was amazing. I had the Greek veggie pita and it was utterly delicious. You can add a protein. However, I opted for all veggies. Most of my table got some sort of a salmon salad and it looked soooo good. I highly recommend this place!
